Christmas Cookie Recipe

It's the Holiday season and it's no secret that many of us love baking, especially at Christmas! There's something special about gifting a homemade treat that you've made with love.

These festive cookies are one of the easiest and most delicious cut-out cookies we've ever made. The dough is so easy to work with and the technique of rolling out the dough between two sheets of parchment paper is genius! You also don't need any fancy piping tips or special skills to decorate these cookies - simply dip the cookies in the glaze and decorate with pretty sprinkles.

So here they are! Lime shortbread cookies -- buttery, slightly crispy, with warm vanilla and a little zesty tang from the lime, and 100% delicious. Everyone will love them!

* if you prefer you can omit the lime or lemon zest and juice and simply enjoy these as vanilla shortbread cookies.

Once you've baked and decorated the cookies, you can package them up in a cute box tied with some satin ribbon and a handwritten gift tag. Or put your cookies on a holiday themed plate and wrap with some clear cellophane and a ribbon. Check out our holiday paper tableware and gift tags here. Perfect for gift giving!

We hope you've been inspired to bake some treats this holiday season. Happy Baking!
